Synopsis
In 1998 an elderly woman is murdered in a villa in Arnhem. A friend of hers miraculously survives the assassination attempt. A group of nine men is convicted of this murder. One of them, Dave Kuils, commits suicide in prison shortly after sentencing. In his suicide note, he insists he is innocent. More than twenty years later, Dave's sister is still searching for the truth: what went wrong in this police investigation? How did the nine men come into the picture so suddenly? And what happened in those interrogation rooms? More than 160 interrogation tapes show how the convicted men were put under pressure for hours by the detectives, including team leader Ad Baars, the man who also led the Putten murder case.
