Episode 1
Twelve teams of dogs and owners move into their new home, which is called the Canine Academy. They then compete against each other in their first Best in Show challenge, which was a talent show. Later, one team is sent home.

Dogs are challenged on their ability to obey. Star has to visit the vet and another dog is eliminated from the competition.
Episode 3
The contestants are challenged in their ability of team work and another dog and owner are sent home.
Episode 4
The theme for this week is personality. The owners and dogs are challenged in a photo shoot and one more dog and owner goes home.
Episode 5
The theme for this week is coordination. The owners and dogs are challenged to dance with their owners and another team is sent home.
Episode 6
The theme this week is intelligence. The dogs are challenged to show their artistic expression. Meanwhile, tempers flare and another team is sent home.
Episode 7
The dogs are challenged to find their way through a maze while leading three puppies. Some dogs excel, while others fail. The judges get in a heated argument about training methods.
Episode 8
This week's theme is courage and the dogs must confront an elephant and attempt to fly. Another team is sent home and it will decide the final four.
Episode 9
The dogs are challenged in their loyalty to their owners. Another team is sent home and the decision for the final three is revealed!
Episode 10
The final three are challenged in everything they have learned at the Canine Academy. Who will be the Greatest American Dog?
